His eyes pierce through as I am sure your dogs do for your veteran; he sees my pain and tries to do something to circumvent it.

I see him trying to get me to play or walk and yes dogs do that anyway. But, when I am jacked up or emotional he will find a way to get me to play or walk even if we have walked 8 times that day or threw his squeaky toy 298 times across the apartment. He takes great care of me when I am dissociating and he has never been trained for it. I believe it has to do with his being traumatized also, we think alike lol.Scott Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17861938200417302754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8207713177773691778.post-78039351704584886072012-06-08T22:31:40.646-04:002012-06-08T22:31:40.646-04:00My Smokey makes my life better, he gives me someth...My Smokey makes my life better, he gives me something to consider other than myself. My hubby's PTSD journey is just 5 months in, and thank goodness we are now retired and Fred has Sam, our 10yr old Lab and Daysie, our 5 yr old Lab. I pray they help him, and others have their animals.
